Just three miles outside of Whitby, this characterful apartment is on the first floor of Sneaton Hall, a grade II listed manor house. This property exudes elegance with its high ceilings and large windows, and it’s surrounded by picturesque views over the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and heritage coastline.
When arriving at Abbey View and having walked up the wide sweeping staircase to the apartment, you’ll be immediately greeted by breathtaking distant views of the sea and Whitby Abbey. The entrance hall doubles as a second seating area, with a comfortable sofa and chairs. From here, you open the door into the well-equipped kitchen which offers ample space for preparing meals, along with extra seating – perfect if you’re welcoming friends during your stay.
The spacious living room, complete with a log-burning stove and comfy sofas, is ideal for lazy mornings or cosy nights in. Stunning countryside views from this room provide the perfect backdrop for relaxation. This leads through to the large bedroom offering more incredible views, a king-size bed and a superb shower room next door – ensuring both a restful night’s sleep and a refreshing start to the next day.

Sneaton is a quaint little village just three miles from Whitby, surrounded by breathtaking countryside and scenic walking trails – perfect for exploring and dog walking.
You’ll find The Wilson Arms, a traditional pub serving delicious homemade food, just a short stroll from the apartment. Right on the doorstep is Beacon Farm, a family-run ice cream parlour and tearoom offering everything from light bites to hot meals. Just down the road Ruswarp offers plenty of activities, including boat and kayak rentals for a leisurely trip along the river. You’ll find more cafes here as well as a garden centre, indoor children’s play area and a delightful miniature steam train. For a picturesque walk into Whitby, follow the riverside path, or take a quick scenic train ride from Ruswarp Station straight into town.

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay at your apartment, it is warm and inviting and had everything we needed, fantastic place, beautiful decor, home from home, would definitely stay again.
Lovely spacious apartment in a wonderful location. The rental had everything we needed for a great getaway, as well as spectacular views over the countryside out to the sea. Sneaton was perfect to escape the bustle of Whitby, I highly recommend the Beacon Farm cafe and ice cream parlour!
The facilities and equipment in the apartment were first class. The location offered us a good base for walking. The local pub, 10 min walk was a bonus with a good menu and generous portions. The view in the distance from the bedroom and hallway were a bonus. Waking up to see the Abbey from the bedroom window was special
