Description

Beach House makes a wonderfully social holiday home for a group.

The first floor has an open plan lounge, kitchen and diner set around a central staircase. Throw open the windows and you'll hear, smell and see the incredible seascapes. When you can prise your eyes away, there’s free Wi-Fi and Freeview TV.

The kitchen has every appliance you need including a wine chiller! During the warmer months you can dine alfresco under the stars on the raised decking area to the back of the house or cook your food on the barbecue and gather indoors around the large kitchen table and tuck in.

Beach House sleeps six guests in three spacious bedrooms – all boasting sea views. Up the steep staircase, the second floor bedroom has a king size bed and a seating area tucked around the back of the en suite, plus space for a z-bed – so it’s perfect for families. There’s a standard double and a twin room on the ground floor, along with the house bathroom with its handy shower cubicle.

Any well-behaved dogs will love the rear outdoor area, at both ground and first floor levels. There’s a utility with a washer and dryer, and you can even park two cars on site - we really have everything covered!

The Local Area

It’s a prime location – a short walk from the quaint shops and cafes of the popular East Side. We like the old Duke of York Pub for real ale or a bite to eat and we urge you to try the smoked fish from Fortune’s Kippers a few doors down. Dog walkers can stroll to Tate Hill Beach or up to Whitby Abbey, as you’re only a minute from its famous 199 Steps.

Wonderful views. Lovely 3 storey house in need of slight maintenance but nothing to distract from a great holiday property. Great fun driving up the "pedestrian cobble street" to reach the house. Everthing within easy reach.

We stayed for our wedding for 4 nights, 20th - 24th June 24. Been in the cottage before as my Aunt and Uncle have used it twice. The place is fantastic, plenty of room and very well equipped. The views over the harbour are priceless and the location is perfect. The parking spaces are extremely handy and we will most definitely be back!! Highly recommend the place 👌🏼

Just returned from an excellent stay at Beach House on Henrietta Street. Perfect location overlooking the harbour with private parking space. The house was lovely - set over three floors with very comfortable beds and spacious living area. Nice and warm on arrival (it was a cold day) and spotlessly clean. First time booking with Shoreline Cottages - would highly recommend.
