Tucked behind Victoria Street in central Whitby, Hatties House is a fabulous find. Book here for a secret escape in the heart of the town but away from the bustle of the tourist trail. It’s an attractive duplex apartment in an impressively restored Grade II Listed property and it’s perfect for up to two couples or a family of four, for whom mobility is no problem.
Climb the rather grand stone steps to the front door. Once inside another staircase leads you to the open-plan lounge and neat, well-kitted-out kitchen. The lounge is cosy with its gas fire and smart TV but wonderfully airy, with lots of natural light from the Georgian-style sash windows.
There’s a king-size double room on this level, with its own ensuite toilet. The attic floor houses the family bathroom with a relaxing Jacuzzi bath and a shower over. The twin beds on this level can be made into a king-size double bed, depending on who’s staying.
Beautifully appointed, Hatties House has everything you need being so close to all that Whitby offers.

The Local Area
On the west side of the river, Hatties House is within walking distance of Whitby train station, Pannett Park, several good pubs and the main supermarket. But in ten minutes you can also be on the Cinder Track for a brilliant hiking or biking trail, or on the East side and heading up the 199 Steps to Whitby Abbey. Location is just one of this cottage’s amazing benefits.

Very clean and well presented. Layout worked for us well with a twin and master bedroom with en-suite toilet. Kitchen well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer and wine cooler. Bathroom nice and spacious. Good location close to town and amenities.
Location was excellent as was the standard of the accommodation
