Take an evening Ghost walk around the town.

There is a right way… a wrong way… and a Whitby Way!… according to ‘The Man in Black’ who invites you to join him on a 75-minute tour to discover the strange and supernatural tales of murder, mystery, and suspense. Meet at the Whale bone arch, opposite The Royal Hotel, West Cliff, (YO21 3HA). Tour departs at 7.30pm. No need to book, just turn up!

Or if you fancy a more light-hearted and theatrical ghost tour, try Red Hat Ghost Walks. The ghostly stories are amusingly told in verse.  The walks take place on Wednesday and Saturday evenings at 7pm from the bandstand. North Yorkshire Off-Road Centre.

The idyllic setting of Robin Hood’s Bay, just a short drive from Whitby, provides the perfect backdrop for a day that you’ll never forget. The centre has its own private hillside and quarry site which has a super selection of terrain providing courses which are perfect for beginners and excellent for the experienced and daring 4×4 drivers. Go Ape – Dalby Forest

Dalby Forest is around a 30 minute drive from Whitby, in the North York Moors National Park.

Go Ape offer various activities for the whole family, set in the beautiful Dalby Forest.  Take the Treetop Challenge on the high ropes above the forest or the Treetop Adventure with intricate crossings, wobbly bridges, and zip wire rides, all designed with the younger family in mind.

Bridge Bungee Jump – One for the thrill seekers!
