Location is everything! Quayside Cottage is a one-bedroom, ground floor holiday apartment within a traditional cottage setting.
We find the views magnetic from both the lounge and bedroom. You can look out over the ever-changing estuary and the comings and goings of vessels. Or take your tipple to the outdoor sitting area to watch people pottering on Tate Hill Beach, and the setting sun.
Inside is bright and airy, with Wi-Fi and the clean lines of modern design. There’s a cosy, log-burning stove in the lounge and the kitchen is kitted out superbly. The pleasant, split-level dining area is particularly handy for enjoying your meals.
With a newly fitted bathroom with shower, and double bedroom with ample hanging space, Quayside Cottage makes a fantastic escape for any couple.
Dogs are allowed at the apartment. For walks try Tate Hill Beach or Whitby Abbey grounds they're great places to stretch legs in any season and you’re a stone’s throw from both.
Quayside Cottage is on the ground floor but with steep, narrow steps from the front door to the street, it's not suitable for everyone.

The Local Area
When you’re not on the trail of Bram Stoker’s Dracula you can discover the best of Whitby right from your doorstep. Pop out for fresh breads at Botham’s Bakery or call in on Fortune's smokehouse for the most delicious kippers. You can stroll to the Lighthouse and Duke of York pub from here, or back to your car to explore further afield. The nearest car park is ten to fifteen minutes’ walk away.
Please note that the exact location of the property may differ slightly from the map.
Had a truly amazing stay. Fantastic view and location. Would definitely recommend for a couples stay! Would not be ideal for people with mobility issues.
Really enjoyed staying at Quayside Cottage. A bit small but it's lovely, warm and welcoming.
We've just returned from a weekend break at this holiday cottage. It was the perfect place for us. It had everything we needed and we would have happily stayed longer. The woodburning stove made it extra cosy and we fell in love with the sea views. It's right in the centre of Whitby so we didn't need to use our car for the whole weekend and the beach is quite literally on the doorstep so our dog was very happy too. The only thing to be wary of is the steep steps leading to the property. Highly recommend.
