Description

Ahoy! Feast your eyes on this stunning apartment in central Whitby. The Olde Ship Inn is a former pub dating from 1811. Up until the 1950s, its halls rang with the shanties of sailors hailing their voyages with a tankard of ale.

Taking prime position on Church Street on Whitby’s East Side, The Olde Ship Inn is a magnificent open-plan, duplex apartment. The views overlook the boats of the inner marina and Bark Endeavour – the replica of Captain Cook’s 1768 ship. Rest here and you can be at local pubs, cafes, shops or Tate Hill Beach in no time.

The three-bedroom apartment is truly exceptional and ideal for families or groups. There are some inspired features: a super-king-size master suite that can be twin bedded, two king-size bedrooms that are also ensuite. Even your dog has its own exclusive shower! The beautiful open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner on the first floor, provide great views across the river.

Parking here is usually straightforward. If you can’t get free roadside space, Church Street Car Park is 150 metres away.

The Local Area

Historic sites, dog walks, the marina, fantastic eateries... and that’s just for starters on your doorstep. We like three nearby pubs – The Endeavour, The Fleece and Middle Earth. Church Street is also on the Whitby Sculpture Trail, so you’ll get a good view of Emma Stothard’s ‘Penny Hedge’. The main beach is a 20-minute stroll or there’s a bus stop close by to help you get around.

Beautiful apartment very modern, finished to a high spec and extremely well equipped. Spotless clean, comfy beds. Ideal location very central. Free parking but only draw back is it’s 15 minutes walk away. Would definitely book again .
