Remove from shortlist ShareDescription
The Landings is a modern and beautifully appointed townhouse, comfortably sleeping five guests. Set back from Whitby’s quayside, amid landscaped grounds and quiet residential streets, you can be at the cobbled lanes or Marina to mooch around in under fifteen minutes.
There are three floors and the quality throughout is second to none. The kitchen diner is particularly impressive on the ground floor. With its handy cloakroom and utility, and tiled flooring, it's so practical for coming in with muddy boots or paws.
On the first level you’ll find the lounge with Freeview TV, the single room and smart, family bathroom. Climb to the second floor to a bedroom with king size bed, which is en suite, and the twin room. There’s even free Wi-Fi when you need quiet time to catch up on world events or kids’ gaming!
The Landings is part of a new development of four homes. You’ll get an allocated parking space, a small enclosed, private back yard and a lovely shared garden seating area. The latter part of the walk from the town to the property involves hill which may be difficult for those with mobility issues.

The Local Area
We think this is a prize location. You’re in a leafy setting, just moments from the riverside and Whitby Marina. What’s more, getting in and out by car is simple as you avoid the town centre. If you fancy a journey out, you’re en route to Robin Hood’s Bay or Saltwick Bay. If you’re bringing your dog, there’s a riverside path that meanders along the River Esk from Whitehall Landing.

We stayed with friends at The Landings for 6 nights. We have stayed there at least once a year for the past 5 plus years. The location is great. Easy 10-15 min walk in Whitby/beach. The property is dog friendly which is great for our 2 spaniels. The property is spacious, well equipped and clean. There is only one parking place which is inconvenient if your party has more than one car. Our friends parked on West Cliff which has free parking Nov-March. We don’t use our cars during our stay. We have always found Shoreline to be very responsive to any minor issues during our stay.
All as expected from Shoreline. Landings is an excellent warm property. Shoreline staff responded to queries almost instantly when you call. If you have a dog, plenty of walks nearby. For those who don't know Whitby, there are two friendly pubs (and fish and chips) nearby.
We had a great time whilst staying at The Landings. It was perfect for our group and very comfortable, and it was nice that the kitchen was stocked with plenty of glasses, plates, bowls etc, so we didn't have to run the dishwasher after every time we had something to eat or drink.
