Bright and airy, Grade II Listed Cook's Cottage is one of our most popular properties in Whitby. It is a great bolt hole for exploring the town and it has the most glorious sea views from its upper room.
This traditional fisherman's cottage sleeps four guests in two bedrooms. The sea view from the kitchen is mesmerising, making washing up a pleasure and there's a cosy log-burning fire in the combined lounge and dining room as well as in the main bedroom. You'll have ample seating and all the TV technology you could need, although the lively harbour scenery offers plenty of intrigue.
The views get better the higher you climb up its typical Whitby cottage staircase. The main bedroom with its superking sized bed and its impressive fireside is the perfect spot for a quiet read. The house bathroom is on this first level too where you can drift away on another uninterrupted seascape!
Our favourite view is from the uppermost twin room that doubles as a second sitting room. Its views are some of the best in Whitby and you can even catch a glimpse of St. Mary's Church out the back.

Wonderful location with sea views that are the best in Whitby. The steep stairs need a bit of caution though. Pop out to the Fortunes kipper house less than 100 yard away up the street on the right, but beware the unfilleted kippers as the small bones are plentiful and will spoil your enjoyment otherwise! They do smoked bacon, sausages and kipper pate as an alternative also.
Found ourselves in need of immediate accommodation as the original host of a booked air b&b had let us down, Cooks Cottage was light and airy, clean, with comfy beds and an AMAZING view of the harbour and Piers from the seating area in the top bedroom. So really thankful to Shoreline for helping us out at the last minute, we had a lovely long weekend and the weather was perfect.
Wonderful stay in Wonderful Whitby at Cook's Cottage.
