Description

Chapel Cottage is a pretty 17th Century property set back from the main road in Lythe, offering a quiet village setting just 1 mile from Sandsend. The cottage boasts many original features including beamed ceilings and panelled walls and is beautifully furnished - a perfect blend of old and new.

With its 2 king size bedrooms and 1 twin room the house doesn't feel too big for a couple but it's well suited to adult groups or families - especially as there are 2 separate house bathrooms, one on the first floor in between the bedrooms and the other one conveniently located on the ground floor. The living area comprises of an inviting living room complete with a large comfy sofa and armchairs as well as a log burning stove for you to warm your toes on those colder evenings and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you'll need for a relaxing self-catering holiday including a dishwasher and washing machine.

The dining room makes a great space for you to gather together but you can enjoy the sun for most of the day in the fully enclosed garden to the back of the house. You can keep cool in the summer house or catch some rays sat around the outdoor seating area - the perfect spot for al-fresco dining on those warm summer nights and there's even a distant sea view! There's a useful, secure out-house in the front garden - ideal for storing bikes, surf boards and walking boots if you're planning an active break. There is a USB point in every room, making plugging in and charging your portable devices very easy and convenient and, if you have an electric car, there's an Electric Vehicle (EV/PHEV) charging point too!

The house is best suited to one average sized dog but give us a call if you'd like to take two! Being a cottage there are some low doors, ceilings and steep stairs, so this property isn't suitable for everyone.

The cottage exceeded expectations. Would book again with confidence. Professional company with personal touches.

Very cosy cottage in a great location, very close to Sandsend beach. The log burner was great. Great places to eat and the weather was very kind to us. We would love to return!
