This spacious house has superb marina and abbey views. All its rooms are well proportioned and represent Victorian splendour. It is ideal for families and small groups wanting a seaside holiday in central Whitby.Add to shortlist Share
Captains House is rich in Victorian features combined with modern facilities. It has a pretty front garden with elevated views across to the marina and inner harbour and also, an enclosed rear yard that catches the sun later in the day. Unusually for a property in central Whitby, there is space for one medium and one small car directly outside the front gate with garages to rent just 50 metres away if required.
Over three floors, there are four bedrooms and two bathrooms - with one being en-suite. The view from the first floor master bedroom could not be more typical of Whitby with not only the harbour but a glimpse of the abbey waiting for you. In fact, the same views are afforded to two of the other bedrooms as well, giving all your party that strong sense of being by the sea.
The ground floor kitchen and dining area is well equipped for creating your seaside suppers inspired by the many local products that can be found in the town. It has ample room for serving up local fish and chips or your own menu, on its wonderful and unique dining table!
There is a small utility room housing a washer and drier and there is a downstairs toilet too. Up to eight of you can sit down to watch TV in comfort in the sitting room or perhaps continue to take in the views as evening set in.
As the house of a former sea captain, we hope that this property will inspire you to enjoy all wonders that Whitby offers.
