Cook's Cottage, a grade II listed former fisherman's cottage sleeps up to five people in two bedrooms. As you walk through the front door you realise that you have a found a haven of peace for your break away. The combined, stylish sitting and dining room is the first room you encounter with its cosy, log burning fire ideal for cooler nights. It adjoins the well equipped, modern kitchen which has superb views over the harbour and is sure to inspire you with culinary ideas during your stay.
Up the typical Whitby, windy staircase, sliding past a wonderful view to sea, you will find the main bedroom and house bathroom. This bedroom contains both a double and a single bed and is equipped with a superb, log burning fire and comfortable seating area to sit and read your favourite holiday book in peace.
The bathroom contains a bath and over bath shower. It has magnificent, uninterrupted views out to sea for those wishing to have a long, lingering bath!
The most stunning room in the property is undoubtedly the upper, twin bedroom that also doubles up as a second sitting room. Its views are some of the best in Whitby and you can even catch a glimpse of St. Mary's Church at the top of the cliffs out of the small, rear windows too! With comfortable seating for you entire party, it is a great room to relax and watch all the passing fishing boats and harbour activities or to perhaps slip on a movie on an evening.
Cook's Cottage is just 30 seconds from the beach and the famous 199 steps up to the abbey. It is two minutes from the nearest shops and only half a mile from the railway station. Parking is in public car parks, the nearest of which is approximately a 15 minute walk away. A really great Whitby holiday cottage.
